Not meant to backstab you ! I saw with a previous post that the South African insignia were gone and only small white sqaure with a little black x were visible. When I went to "my profile" to look what nationalities there were to choose from, I saw that there was no South African there (in hindsight I think only the nationalities were visible which I didn't have). Then made my post to discover the insignia was visible.....
Ok Ive started looking at Dutch ranks... I will have to use modern Dutch ranks as I cant find a resource of WW2 ranks... so far... in 30 minutes this is the model Im looking at.

First: thanks for your time and effort put into it !
I'm certainly not very knowledgable about ranks and the insignia that come with them. I couldn't tell you the difference between the current and the old (1940) insignia of the Dutch army. Perhaps someone like Breaklight could tell you since he is in the army at present.
What I mean to say is that I have no idea if the insignia you posted above are or ever have been Dutch insignia. But I don't mind to much about that. I just want to have the rank of the same country I come from ! The modern insignia are therefore very much OK with me !
So, yeah, I think they are great ! The blue colour in the flag does seem a tad to purple, but that could be mine colourblindness !
