The flag-draped casket of Army Staff Sgt. John R. Simonetti, 26, of Jackson Heights, N.Y., missing in action from World War II, is carried by a casket team during a burial service at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., Monday, Oct. 25, 2010.
According to the Defense Department's POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO), Simonetti, U.S. Army, G Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, was lost June 16, 1944, near St. Germain-d'Elle, France.
His remains were identified Nov. 10, 2009.
