A new modern campaign?

It would be great to have maps retain their 'history' of destruction (buildings damaged/collapsed...even shell holes), but it is too much work for me the GM. :)

Urban Hell indeed. The war in Grozny, Chechnya sounds very dark. But which war isn't. Humans, still up to their old tricks. :alien:

Snow, rain and fog. Hmmm, maybe so.

Nah, it shall be set in one of these countries:

Ishmaelia (from Scoop, by Evelyn Waugh)
Laputa (from Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift)
Latveria (from Doctor Doom’s kingdom in Marvel Comics)
Vulgaria (from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the film of Ian Fleming’s book)
Or Atlantis, or Avalon...or Narnia. :D

Perhaps I should make up my own country, like Warmongia or Moronica.

2 new zone features. 40 out of 64 zone features completed.

Cemetery
On the eastern edge near the prison.
Loosely based on the Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary in San Diego USA.
A small fictional addition is the old church and graveyard you can see on the other side of the highway.

Monastery
On the southern edge.
Based on photos of Beuerberg Abbey in Bavaria, Germany.

The monastery in particular looks very interesting, especially if there are severe point penalties for its destruction....

It even has a national anthem and a president already!

2 more zone features done. That's 42 out of 64.

It's been 5 months since I started this, and I can feel my motivation now start to wear thin, even though it's only taking me a handful of hours per week.
It has been on my mind that even when I complete all the zone features, I will then need to do all the 'filler' terrain, which will be a lot of work.
I probably just need to step away from it for a while and refresh my interest. Remind me - why am I doing this again? :sneaky:
One thing's for sure, it will make running the planned MOUT campaign a breeze. All the hard work will be done.

I'm running out of good ideas for zone features too, and I need some inspiration from FGM players. Throw me a bone.
Here's the list of zone features in place as of now:

Bus depot?
Motor depot (somewhere near the shopping mall where the trucks are unloaded)?

Why not double up (or more) some of the "zone features"? Many urban centers might have many churches, bus stations, markets, cemetery's, schools, hospitals, etc rather than having exactly 1 of everything.
