Black Sea...

I will pass given that I'm not interested in this kind of game (only WWII )

Lol, I haven't even finished the Market Garden campaign yet!.......

Got my order in for Black Sea though. Any FGM campaigns, count me in. I'm always too late for the other campaigns so I'm getting my name in before the game has even launched.

Has anyone played all the campaigns and scenarios of CMBN and its modules? Just curious as I have yet to even scratch that surface. PBEM eats up most of my gameplay.

Not yet but I 'd like to play all official stuff...lot of time!

Currently not too excited about this one. I'll probably wait and see how it is received, all those new features introduced for the modern setting are bound to be buggy as hell and this is going to show.
I'm judging by the tendency of BFC introducing new bugs even with a Vehicle Pack, which currently has bunkers able to move around like Panzers and cannons shooting through the side walls of concrete bunkers.

I will stick to the WW2-games anyhow. Not interested in "smart" weapons - rather in smart opponents... :) Recently I had a look on CMBB again and did enjoy it a lot. Thinking about returning to some CMx1-gaming already! :D

Interesting comments Guys, and I agree I think I will be waiting until it's sorted - and watching some of the promos on Twitch that ain't happened yet. And yes we are aware its a Beta - before the BF police pounce.

I am with MM on this right now. CMSF has been my favorite since it came out. I enjoy modern more than WW2. But those extra features are not really doing much for me. The concepts are cool with the UAV's and APS's but not sure they will enhance the gameplay in the right direction. Using UAV's are just like getting a free FOW lift in that area and the precision artillery even makes me hate artillery worse than I do now. Will have to see some more info on the game before I bite.

Though there's some great tools for scenario based gameplay, features like UAV's and precision arty is just asking for abuse in QB's. I can see lots of 'house rules' developing over time for PBEM's.

A big factor will be the cost of the equipment at setup, how much time it takes to call in, basically how effective they are. In the YouTube video they talk about UAVs struggling to spot infantry in concealment and a 5 minute call in time for precision. If it's a case of keeping your armour moving this replicates the need for mobility in modern war. I'm going to take the positive view and assume BF get it generally right and my WWII tactics won't work. The modern BF battlefield is going to be fast moving and power is in information. Kinda like real life. Learn and adapt.

By the way, stuff like UAVs and some smart weapon effectiveness can be disabled/changed via battle settings (electronic warfare level?), so it depends what you agree on with your opponent :)
