That's quite unusual for a patch, Mrs Battlefront must want a new fur coat and jewels.
It's emphatically
not a patch.
Since it keeps getting brought up, I'll repeat myself:
It's emphatically
not a patch.
A patch fixes things that are broken; just that. The upgrade to v2.0
adds features like Armour Covered Arc, and has had significant work done on the UI, both on the game field and in the surrounding screens. It also has a massive upgrade to the graphics engine, with "bump mapping" being enabled. The upgrade for CMBN/CW is going to require
every single model to be overhauled to exploit that newly supported feature. Given that, BFC must be very confident that they'll sell a
lot of upgrades to be able to offer it for such a low price.
It's worth pointing out that "no Armour Covered Arc" is, and never was, "something broken" in CMx2.
It's also worth pointing out that nobody gives away upgrades for free. Patches for broken stuff, including tweaks to behaviours, yes, and BFC will still be doing that; AIUI, there'll be a 1.11 to fix some of the things wrong with BN/CW shortly before the upgrade is available, and that, as with all BFC patches (except the "patch" to Vista, which should have been called a "port") will be entirely gratis, free and for nothing.
There are very long threads where this is explained in plain language for the hard of thinking over on the BFC forums.
