Combined Arms Multi-Player // Any Interest?

First map is a small section of MG Oosterbeek Master Map, the second is from my 2v2 map Three Towns.

All of the above sound good to me, and describe in more detail the sort of thing I had in mind when I proposed a "CO" role (ie not a "GamesMaster/Umpire", neutral, role, but very much part of one side, setting objectives etc).

Not sure if I'm right in thinking someone - probably more than one person, but one in particular - has devised a set of "rules' to play CM like this (info flows, command delays, etc)? Think it may have been for 1 v 1 rather than multiplayer, but perhaps could be used? Here on TFGM, or on BF forum?

Ring a bell with anyone?

Yeah, the CO Ruleset is called Command Friction, there's a thread for it on BF Forum by Bil Hardenberger.
It uses a spreadsheet specifically constructed to force command delays when issuing orders.

It's perhaps excessively detailed for this game, unless the opposing COs are willing to learn it.

@WynnterGreen I went to the thread and was unable to download the zip file. Do you have a copy of this file?

If you can send me the file. I am willing to read through what Bil wrote and try it out.

Yep, sorry I was aware of that (relatively) new thread and spreadsheet idea posted by BH ... the one I had in mind (like I say, there are probably others also) is quite a bit older than that, and not spreadsheet based. IIRC it was someone setting out a series of limits / rules on what and when you could do things ... less specific than BH's spreadsheet approach!
