Cool History Stuff

The first documented transaction from 1526 when master gun-barrel maker Bartolomeo Beretta from Gardone sold 185 arquebus barrels to Venetian Arsenal for 296 ducats!
Since mid-17th century there has not been a major war in Europe for which Beretta has not supplied weapons.

The contract deed is still stored in Arzenale's records archive to this day.

This iconic photograph is still considered one of the most-terrifying space photographs to date. Astronaut Bruce McCandless II became the first human being to do a spacewalk without a safety tether linkd to a spacecraft. In 1984, he floated completely untethered in space with nothing but his Manned Maneuvering Unit keeping him alive.

It was in that moment that Bruce realised he was afraid of heights. :p

(Not really... I'd assume)

Promo postcard for a Berlin Ice skating show called "Black-White-Red".

Not sure if Weimar Republic era or pre-WW1.

The title is pure clickbait, but the story of Lev Zasetsky, his traumatic brain injury sustained during the year 1943 and the effect it had on his life is rather interesting.
