Field Of Glory: Ancient Empires

@chiquichops , @Cargol and myself have kicked off a casual campaign using basically identical rules to the Medieval Kingdoms & Empires campaign.

Did a random draw for provinces we control (we ended up scattered all over the show) -- every player gets 9 provinces (Cargol gets 10) and one attack each turn.

@chiquichops is playing Green, with his capital in NUMIDIA and is attacking CARTHAGE.

@Cargol is playing Red and placed his capital in ASIA and is attacking CILICIA.

@Rico is playing Yellow and I am attacking JUDEA from my capital in EGYPT.

Points are awarded the following way:
3 points per Capital province (2 points for re-established Capital should the first one be captured by an enemy)
1 point per province controlled
2 bonus points per Region controlled

Points standing get updated at the end of each turn.

At this stage @Cargol is trying to establish control of the ANATOLIA region, I am attempting same for the LEVANT and @chiquichops has his eye on CARTHAGO.

Armies used can range from Bronze Age 2500 AD to end of Antiquity 600 AD -- appropriate to the province being fought over.

Victory for Egyptians in JUDEA which now joins the benevolent embrace of the Yellow Empire (although the battle was anything but benevolent... @Cargol caught the brunt of some very good die rolls for my side and the brutal attacks by various Guards units, which even the obstacles of the field enclosures could not stop)

That was a very javelin-heavy fight. My Imitation Legionaries were good for once too. Happy for the win. Thanks
The defence of CILICIA is ongoing. The battle divided into two very disconnected wings. Cargol's hoplites smashed my skirmishers and horse archers on my left but I did a similar job on my right. It's now up to my infantry to hold the hoplites off. I'm not hopeful.

I think I snatched a victory in CILICIA. It was an unusual battle of two, very far apart, fights. Immortals aren't heavy shock troops but they don't break easily

I am attacking from Germania to Gallia. Germanic Horse tribes (260-492) vs Frankish (260-495)
@Rico

@chiquichops and I whipped through our battles yesterday -- lots of fun and honours were even.

The Battle of the Chariots in MESOPOTAMIA ended in a YELLOW victory: 46 - 18 = +2%

The battle in SYRIA was a grinding brawl affair ended in a very close GREEN victory: 61 - 55 = +6%

The battle for GALLIA still ongoing -- it's @Cargol 's cavalry army against my mostly foot Barbarian horde -- :2charge: -- hunkering down and trying not to expose any flanks.
