Cagey opening moves to the battle in GERMANIA vs @kronenblatt -- the Barbarians' lack of light troops showing up to be quite a handicap as my front line is being mercilessly harassed.

Having a cagey battle against @kronenblatt and we are 9 turns in, doing a turn a day.

The battle in GERMANIA has now entered the violent brawl phase ... we'll see who emerges victorious ... the @kronenblatt 's Roman units are pretty tough.

The GERMANIA battle end in a Minor Victory (64 - 46 = +18%) for @kronenblatt 's RED Legions -- which means the region will be CONTESTED and the battle continues next turn.

Fun battle -- that tough Roman morale hard nut to crack for the Franks.

Draws are so rare, not accounted for in the rules ... but same effect as Minor Victory/Defeat -- region is contested, campaigning continues there.

Maybe that could be amended so that a Minor Victory actually has an effect, e.g., the first Minor Victory like currently (region is contested), whereas if the army achieves a second one over the same region against the same army that second Minor Victory has the same effect as a Major Victory (apart from not resulting in any Initiative Point of course).

Then the interesting situation would arise where the two armies have one Minor Victory each and the next battle will be the:
FINAL SHOWDOWN!

I agree with that as it will break any stalemate in the course of the campaign

Cool -- I'll think we'll go with this rules adjustment.

It would mean a Minor Victory for @chiquichops 's BLUE army in CILICIA this turn would eject the Sassanids from the province.
