[FILM] The Monuments Men

This film for me was good, not a lot of action regarding fighting but actually want went on with Hitlers greed.

George Clooney leads an all-star cast in the incredible true story of an unlikely WWII platoon sent to save priceless art from the Nazis! During WWII, the Nazis loot artworks all across Europe. US President Franklin D. Roosevelt becomes so concerned about this potential loss of cultural heritage that he tasks Lt. Frank Stokes (George Clooney) with launching a unique squad. Their mission is to locate and protect five million pieces of art. Together with Lt. James Granger (Matt Damon), Stokes recruits a crack multi-national team of museum directors, curators and art historians. But the Monuments Men are engaged in a race against time. The stolen artefacts are behind enemy lines, and Hitler has decreed that in the event of defeat they must be destroyed! Director and star George Clooney has assembled a brilliant cast - including Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett - for this hugely enjoyable mission movie with a twist.

The cast list reminds me of those epic old war movies that kept actors employed in days of yore - I fancy checking this one out Hedgehog...
