I't possibly not so pleasant being the gunner either ... that's why orders had to be shouted so loudly - -everybody was deaf!

Gives me a better appreciation of why it looses its hidden status upon firing.
Did you notice how stable the gun carriage was? Would a real round have caused more movement?
