Been lurking for a while, and now I'm in.
Dad was in the army (ACC) from 1960 to 1982, and so I lived abroad a lot during that time (Singapore, Holland, Belgium, Germany), and also visited a lot of war museums, cemeteries and battle locations in northern europe.
Military history from all ages facinates me (also enjoy riding my motorbike -BMW R1100R), and this site is full of very interesting facts and photos from around the globe.
Hope to be able to provide some input from time to time.

Whee- Heeeeeeeee I get to greet a new member first (Crap someone stop him - we need new blood).

Welcome, welcome and come in sit down and draw up a seat/sofa/donkey/tree and lets see what we have for you. (Oh-No he's off his meds again....... NURSE!!)

Have fun, play nicely, ask silly questions and don't forget to do your flies up before leaving. It's a funny place, but most people are helpful, nice, generous ENJOY

Joining this community was the right decision because Combat Mission is at it's best when played head to head (H2H)
- as you already know. ;)

For to get involved into the PBEM H2H gaming action, please go to the gaming section and choose the category with
the game that you'd like to play (CMBS or CMBN etc.). There you'll find the postings for gaming requests
(just scroll down a little). And there you may also start your own, of course. ;)

Thanks, but I am a luddite and don't play the games - I reckon if I tried I'd end up wiping out my own platoon!!

btw I've not been drinking - I'm just often like this (YES - HE really is this scarily strange, when sober - when he drinks, he's often worse OR - bizarelly - sounds more normal????? )

Just added an avatar, but it's too small to see the writing at the bottom which reads:

Top of page
Find your user name
To left of that is down arrow
Click that

Click on avatar
Choose avatar

and you may also load up an avatar picture from your computer.

Multiplayer gaming: Mate, you don't know what you are missing! ;) I'd recommend to start a small scenario against the AI
and let it smoothly "infect" you! :cool:

And then you will ask for more. And then a little more... and some more... AND MORE ... MORE!!! :D

Thanks very much. I live on the edge of reason......oops, I meant the edge of the Cotwolds........a few miles from Burford.

I also like to take photos, although I'm yet to master the ins and outs of a proper camera.....here's a little video I made a few years ago.


I also have a Go Pro but have only done a few short videos whilst out on the bike locally.

I may post a few photos from one of my ride outs which took in a church.......the only one in the UK as far as I know that has photographs of soldiers inside..........anyone care to guess where that may be?

What make and model is yer dog then?
