Making a standard basic ruleset for CM - would this be useful?

Not sure I understand this. I've only ever lost 2 games as the defender in attack or assault scenarios. One was a scenario where I had to sit in a village for a bombardment that lasted half an hour.

I have quite a full plate now, or I'd challenge you for a proper assault. Obviously it depends on the game, terrain and forces, but I have the same experience as @Meat Grinder and @A Canadian Cat. Perhaps your preference of playing non competitive players resulted in rather lackluster offensives? :fisher:

Challenge accepted. It's entirely possible that I only played against the more casual segment so far. All cool people though. Apart from the guy who freaked out and declared he'd never play another quick battle...

Great, I'll send you PM. Will have to wait a few weeks perhaps, but I'd like to play a proper assault. Not that I think I'm the best player. I did play CMSF from 2007, but there have been years I didn't play at all. And overall I mostly played SP, but I guess over the years there were be also a dozen or two PBEMs over all the games combined.
I'm tempted to offer a Russian assault on US defense in CMBS, as it is something I've been wanting to try out. Although that would be a tad different balancewise compared to a US assault on Syrian positions in CMSF2, let's see if you can sit out half an hour of 203mm ;-P

Haha I'm not saying I'm the best CM player ever either. But I know my stuff. I can only offer you a game in either CMBN 3.12 or CMFB 4.02 though. So no modern warfare.
 
CMFB 4.02 sounds better. Sturmtigers, kingtigers and 300+ mm nebelwerfers. Should I throw in a Jagdtiger as well, apart from the MP-44 squads? :unsure:
