@axxe needs to write 100 times on the chalkboard, "Hellcats are not tanks! Tank destroyers are only very fragile and nimble anti-tank artillery!". Their temptations are great and overwhelming but one must not succumb to them . . . . :shocknaz:

My thinking as I committed both M10s to a flanking move was "I've never seen MG retreat". D'oh!
Naturally the zook team I'd had hiding in the trees since the start of the game for just this situation managed only a miss and then a hit on the Panther's skirt.

I never retreat, but sometimes I perform tactical withdrawals AKA "advancing to the rear".

@Will S It's just one of those narrow maps that gives the attacker few options. We are both attacking as the Yanks, mirror match. In this one, he knew I had some troops in the wheat field, and he was trying to flank them, using the bocage as cover. I just "sneaked" a Tiger up the map edge, flanking his flankers.
