I am not sure there is anything radical with these armored rigs, the look very, very similar to the Cadillac Gage Stingray MK II light tank or the United Defense LP M8 Armored Gun System vehicle, both of which were light armored tanks with modular armor, both privately developed and proposed for US Army use in the 1980's...
