A collapse under the floor of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky early this morning (Feb. 12) claimed eight historic Corvettes, museum sources report.
Security guards reported the collapse in the Skydome portion of the building to museum personnel shortly before 6 AM this morning. Eight vehicles were reportedly lost or damaged in the sinkhole, which is said to be around 40 feet in diameter and 20 to 30 feet deep:

+ 2009 Corvette ZR1 Blue Devil
+ 1962 black Corvette
+ 1984 Corvette PPG Pace Car
+ 1992 Corvette white one millionth production unit
+ 1993 Corvette 40th anniversary

+ 2009 Corvette 1.5 millionth production unit

We all hope the day of another 'big war' like WW2 doesn't happen again. But if that day ever comes and everyone has to sacrifice, whether it's as great as one's own life or as insignificant as not getting a new iPhone this year - it will be very interesting to see how western civilian populations react.

@Septic Limb It's just a little combat zone satire. From my own experience, war has a direct impact upon ones sense of humor, generally in a darker vein.
@Facman I know that its meant to be humorous but the problem is that those kids tend to think that it is true. I remember hearing shit like that in theatre and wouldn't hesitate to tear that serviceman a new ass. We have been at war for 10+ years and our country has suffered from it. To say crap like that is just pure ignorance.
