Plane shot down today -Libya

Zaraza brings up a good point though. While we in the NATO countries take it for granted that the Military is for defense and does all it can to protect innocent civilians in war, that is not the case in most other countries. The idea that the military would protect civilians is a foreign concept to some and I guess their idea of a normal military is one that commits crimes at will and that is just acceptable. Perhaps that is why there is a laundry list of Serbian mass murders and War crimes. It is too bad that Zaraza doesn't live in a country where the military is not an evil force.

Military does not understand terms good and bad (maybe it does in hippie and new age world).
There is only interest.

Meanwhile in Libya things are not going the way the Coalition expected because despite giving tremendous air support to the rebels, the rebels are just a disorganised mob unable to take advantage of it and keep getting repulsed by Gaddafi's professional army.
It proves the old saying-"No aircraft ever took and held ground".
A protracted stalemate is therefore on the cards because Gaddafi's army is tied to the cities, not daring to venture out and become sitting ducks in the face of Coalition airpower; and on the other hand the rebels haven't the tactical skills needed to go in and root the Army out.
Lets see if Obama and Nato stop pussyfooting around and have the balls to send Coalition ground troops in to show the rebs how to do the job properly.
After all, the cause is a noble one:- Mad Dog Gaddafi was behind Lockerbie so now let's give him payback.
He can be arrested, given a fair trial, then hung..:)
