The Bootie-Rico Wars

Bootie's attack was swiftly defeated and once again the Rico Imperial Army is on the march -- this time on the southern end of the front -- Bootie town will fall!
So far it's a rather surreal night battle on open steppe terrain... and it's a pretty even slogging match.

Ricos nefarious attack has been repulsed. Bootie forces launch another attack from D3 -> E3.

 

[Rico]

Bootie's Tiger obviously hunts best at night... the Rico forces got slaughtered in a vicious night engagement... the fortunes of war swing back again.

The Bootie Steamroller once more seems unstoppable and after a victory over my hordes of tin cans on the northern front, Rico Town is once again under attack.

A snapshot from the previous battle... the steep hillside is littered with burning and shot-up T-26's... the flag changed hands soon after that.
The thick fog didn't help too much as all my tanks were conscript and needed a full turn to put any orders into action... what fun

Yet another victory for the Bootie hordes... the Rico forces have now been evicted from Bootie Republic territory and have lost Rico Town as well... as the next attack goes in, we ask ourselves: is the Bootie Offensive unstoppable?

Alas my Lynx is in trouble as he spots a T-34 hunter killer pack approaching the flags. This battle in the Bootie steam roller does not go as planned.

There's not much happening in oyur war anyway, now is it? Rico seizes one or two hexes, then Bootie takes them back, then Rico seizes other hexes and Bootie takes them back - again. You should have put 2 players on each side. The next war you fight, I'll be in, too!

Well, the Island Wars Campaign is a multi-player campaign and we just started -- might still have space for reserve players.

Victory! The latest Bootie republic offensive has been crushed!

the Great Supreme Leader even cracks a smile... maybe this is the turning point? Is there even a turning point?

Well, that attack ended in tears and recriminations and a Tiger blowing everything to smithereens... so the Booties counterattack yet again!

Eastern Empire GHQ sent us some KV's and the Bootie hordes were stopped in their tracks and surrendered.

The Eastern Armies make another attempt to cut off the Rico Town salient from the south... we charge ever onwards as the tit for tat continues.

VICTORY for the Rico Empire Forces... wrecked Bootie Republic PzIV's litter the field of battle...

Next step is to close the circle around enemy-held Rico Town!
