Hi guys!
Here is a short summary of what I got:
My basic idea was to create a juicy hedgerow battle. From that I proceeded to planning an unconventional, over-the-top, quick-paced carnage. The reason: H2H battles are inherently unrealistic because they have to be balanced (if a battle in real-life is balanced, the attacker did something wrong), so why not use this freedom from realism to the fullest? So I create mirrored battlegroups which employ all the armaments which you hardly ever see in Combat Mission, like the US Pack Howitzer, the German Marder I and II, Air Support, Flak in the AA role, and so on... All the Oddballs!
You get a lot of firepower in pretty thight terrain, so my hope is that things will escalate quickly.
So far I have roughly laid down the map and am working on force composition. The map alone will take at least one more month.
Stay tuned!
