The Sun of London reported on a pet parrot who recites the names of the Manchester United lineup. The owner of Pigeon (the parrot) says the bird learned the names by watching the team on TV. Pigeon squawks "Rooney!" at the sight of her favorite and shows her respect for veterans Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville by saying their names in full. Whenever she spots Red Devils boss Alex Ferguson, she screeches, "Sir Alex!" The bird, who lives with its owner in Cape Town, South Africa, often joins in with fans swearing at officials and shouting, "Do you want some?" Pigeon also hates Liverpool. A fan of that team tried to teach the bird to say the name of a Liverpool player. Pigeon would have none of that.
