[TV] Jack Reacher - Amazon 2022

Agree, to a point. I'm a Tom Cruise fan and what he was unable to do for the Jack Reacher character, as described in the novels, he more
than made up for it with charisma, personality and acting skills. I can understand why they called him "Reacher" so as to have a ready made
audience for the movies. I think the films would have been just as successful had they just created a fictional character for him to run with on
his own. Maybe more so.
Truthfully? I'm just happy to see the Jack Reacher Character back on the screen as I finished all the books some time ago. . I'm not expecting
all that much based on the trailer, but it does look like it might be fun.

Fair point(s).

Not sure about that... seems to me you might as well, just have painted him green and called him the Hulk.
With Tom Cruise his acting carried most scene's... his expressions and look. Despite his size, he always looked menacing, in a cheeky style.

As I mentioned I really like the job(s) Cruise did in the movies. It's just if one has read the novels he was not Jack Reacher.
Ricthon, IMHO, just nails the book character. Turns out he is "only" 6'2" but camera angles (intentionally) make him look bigger.
What also makes him so intimidating is when he gives someone that shark-eyed dead stare. Brrr.
Is it just me, or did the writers work with him after the trailer was filmed to make him more "snarky?" Works for me.
Anyway, my expectations were kind of high and I'm liking this show waay more than I even hoped.
Jack Reacher quotes:
- "The details matter."
- "No."
That about covers it.

As a long time lover of the Jack Reacher series, I thoroughly enjoyed the television show. They updated it slightly to get through the time period when the book was written and published (1998). In my estimation, they did without really subtracting from the story. The introduction of Neagley was a bit unexpected but I think that's just a vessel for the TV show to keep up a recurring cast member who can help guide the viewers through the run of the show.

Unfortunately, if they're doing the series' by the release of the books, the next one is Die Trying which is not one of my favourites.

We're going to be ok @steve. How's that bike?

I'm getting mine ready to ride. She's been sitting in my garage all winter.

Hi,
Sadly the bike is sold......I will get another in due course but we have recently invested in a caravan and a large enough vehicle to tow it......I went with a Kia Sportage 2.0 diesel on a 2017 plate - enough grunt to tow but still economical enough for everyday use - we are going to downsize our other car as my wife is now working from home a lot more (it will stay like that too) so the plan will be for me to use the smaller car to commute (20 miles or so taking in country roads leading to main roads into Oxford) thus keeping the running costs down as much as possible.

Here's a couple of snaps of the car.......

That is a *very* nice car, Steve. I am sure you and your wife will get good service from it.

I also recently purchased a new vehicle, a 2022 Toyota Takoma, "access cab", V6, manual transmission.

I won't be giving up my Sporty though. No way, no how.
