Not too sure the "hates" are all that peculiar to Canada. Same could be said about California.

Raw winters? One could say that I guess....it is warm this weekend here in Bracegridge/ Right now at 6:30 am it is -11 C and will warm up to -8 C later which means snow for sure. Tomorrow it will drop down to -18 C during the day no snow when it's cold out.
I hear we had 18 feet of snow last year...I know we have to be over 10 feet this year so far.

Funny you should say that...I am planning a walk in fridge and if I do it I will put up pictures. If we loose power for long times which does not happen often. I put my frozen food out side...But I keep an eye on it because the bears and other animals might want a lunch.
My brother-in-law has a stone porch built onto his stack-wall house and it is not heated [The porch that is] ...his freezers are in the porch and during the winter he unplugs them and leaves the doors open.
