Wargame AirLand Battle

I would concur with Ithikial Bootie, I think they made a better game with Airland, and no it is no Combat Mission - but a decent blast all the same...

Well, playing yesterday and the damn game overheated my graphics card so that I had a complete, unanticipated hard computer shutdown.

Nasty, will see if I try it again today with better ventilation / air supply to my graphics card cooler.
First time this happended, not even the biggest CMx2 maps achieved something like this.

I was also thinking of giving it a shot but then I read that there is no option for to adjust the game speed.... o_O

Is that true?

@Richtig @Mad Mike @Ithikial

Mates, please let me know - as you have it already - is there an option for to reduce (or adjust) the game's speed in "Wargame Air Land Battle" ?

Thank you, mates, thank you very much - so I will save my 20 Euronians.

How can someone develop a non-turnbased game without the possibility to adjust the game speed...?

(Well, real nerds can! :p)

At the company Eugen Systems one year ago: "Colleagues, without offering an option for game speed we can easily block one third of the gamers from buying our product! Especially the older ones with their own bank accounts who do not depend on pocket money. As far as I know only young kids are playing PC games, especially those with ADHD - the more hectic in a game the better! - "Great idea, that s an ideal strategy - let's avoid earnings and drastically reduce our turnover! "Bravo!!!" *applause*

Hi,

I played both wee and wab a bit, and it is more of a rock, paper, scissors type of game.
One unit always has a counter, and balance is "everything".

One thing that I like thou is the heavy focus on scouting and battlefield information.
Without scouting out the enemy you will sure get beaten to smithereens even if you have a huge collections of T-80U :)

Then off course as a Swede it is always cool to play your own army and think back when in the service. :p

My few cent's..

Thank you, Folke! :)

I would have given it a shot if there was an option for to adjust the game speed - this should be a self evident/go without saying feature in every game.
It is absolutely ridiculous that there is no option for game speed in a today's computer game.

As if they would try to sell a car without gas pedal - that can only drive with 50 mph or stand still - or a radio that can only play one song.

New edition on the horizon - for those interested - welcome China and North Korea...
