Nostalgia is pulling me towards buying an old CJ5. When I was growing up, my father always owned a CJ. They were death traps, lol, but he used to take us out on mountain roads in the winter snow.
So, as a boy I found myself being subjected to this singer, played often on the Grundig Radiogram (remember them?) by my mum who loved her voice.
This is her cover of a Neil Sedaka song, and anyway you cut it, she had the voice of an angel - Quincy Jones said she was the best he ever worked with - pitch perfect and effortless control........not necessarily everyone's cup of tea but you cannot deny her quality.....
