I wrote WTII because I was so tired of coping files around. Automation of repetitive tasks is literally the computer's job. Initially I used a system of command line scripts and MS scheduler. That took care of that burden but then I had no idea who's turn it was. Hence the name.

I also wrote my own program to manage the shuffling from/to Dropbox and notifying me. Based on Unix shell scripting (running on Mac), so I doubt it is interesting to other people.

Drop box creates folders on the HD. WSL can access directories in your HD. So, I want to say "Yes".

I also have a notification framework around the mobile app "pushover". Very easy to use, you just use wget or whatever to fetch a certain url on their server with your secret key and the message you want to appear in the cellphone notification.
