I did read on Microsoft the Windows 10 wasn't being supported after 2025, Microsoft are bringing out a new system, any one else know any thing about this ?
The only link I have is this mateNews to me as well. Do you have a link?
Yeah, everyone. Thankfully with all MS's faults, compatibility for older apps on new OSs has not been one of them.Shyte. I hope CM will still work.
Oh man I hope they don't do that. I have no trouble paying a subscription fee for something that requires actual resources on the part of the company to run - like web hosting or file sharing but apps that run on my desktop I cannot stand dealing with subscriptions.<snip>I've been surprised they haven't moved windows to a subscription based model yet, it's all the rage these days. Can't say I'm sad about it though, I wouldn't want it.<snip>
Fully agree, but I have been half expecting it...Oh man I hope they don't do that. Didn't they implement a subscription fee for Office and then abandoned it? Maybe that learned them a lesson not to do it with Win11.Oh man I hope they don't do that. The subscription fee for Office is an enourmous sucess in the business market. I suspect they will do this for business windows licenses too somehow.Didn't they implement a subscription fee for Office and then abandoned it? Maybe that learned them a lesson not to do it with Win11.
Not exactly 100% true. I loaded "Crimson Skies", which was developed by Microsoft and I have still yet to get it to run on my Win 10 machine. Sooo, I loaded it on Win 7 machine and nope, that was a NO-GO. But alas, from the bottom of my closet, what should appear, but a laptop bag with my trusty old Dell running XP. I might be giving that a go shortly...LOLYeah, everyone. Thankfully with all MS's faults, compatibility for older apps on new OSs has not been one of them.
