World of Tanks

When you hit right mouse button and your guns automatically aims to target - i call that point and click :)
 
Hm... Maybe I should try to register again so we can get a FGM clan going. I'm certainly interested in the game even if it isn't a simulation.
 
Seems my registration issue has been resolved - willt try later today.

I know what you mean. Before they split servers i had the same rate. But even then I did't used rightclick, no matter how hard it was. I figured out in general it's still better to handaim.
 
WoT has restarted few days ago, every player had to start from zero. This means there is greater chance to wight with tanks of equall level. It's free and open so feel welcomed.
 
Anyone of you guys still plaing this? Made it to Tier 6 (German) by now and Tier 7 isn't too far away. Although it's comparatively simple, I like it - nice change to not have to think so hard. :biggrin1:
 
I never liked the concept since I'm a big fan of history and most of the tanks never made it to the battlefield or they never went into production. Is this game a hit or not?
 
Depends on waht you're looking for - it'S definitely NO simulation, far from it. It's indeed much more like a FPS, only that you drive a tank (which incidentally makes for a very different pacing of the battles). Correct, they threw everything they could find on prototypes into the mix (some even I haven't heard of yet), but since the game's not supposed to be historically accurate, it actually fits. You'll alkso find Russian, German and US tanks fight merrily beside each other in each battle, so go figure.

I like it, but then I like a lot of different genres and am not only playing wargames. Best idea is to download the client, get an account (for free) and simply try the game. You'll know after one or two battles if it's for you or not.
 
I still play this game. Sure it's not a simulation like Earl said but still it's a fun, fast paced game.
And how you cannot like the games concept? Drive around in a tank and shoot other tanks=awesome!
 
If you get to shoot other tanks at all. Some tanks are WAY overpowered (Have I heard someone mention "KV"?) in the battles they appear and a good artillery team makes advancing over the map very painful.

What are your y'alls game names...I am very active, in fact I am the Commander of a Clan.. Dad's Hideout (DHO). Look me up and we can platoon sometime. Clan Wars at this time is very restrictive to Tier IX and X vehicles, so we dont compete all that often. But we have a blast playing!! I have grinded up to the Panther II and Tiger. This is my VK 3001:

Good to know! I'm a deputy clan commander of a German clan - maybe we can time up once all of my alds have attained Tier IX?
