ARMA III [Online Co-Op] Roll Call

... I just worry about slowing you guys down. Perhaps we need an Arma Bootcamp.
Have you met Nelson? Sometimes he forgets ammo... If there's demand for an ARMA Bootcamp happy to assist some of the newbies. Holiday period coming up would be really good to set one of these up, at least on my end.

What commo system are you using? With the contact info I can get it set up beforehand.
I currently have Teamspeak & Raidcall on my system.
All in handled ingame at the moment and it does a pretty good job. Once we get 'better' would be good to start disabling 'Group Channel' and rely on the simulated radio system/direct communication completely. Still probably sometime away.

Sign me up then. As I'm retired and can set my schedule to yours, just let me know when you want to do it.

I'm planning on being there!

I won't. Can't get the hang of the controls.

As others have said, join up anyway. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes the best way to learn a more complicated game is to actually play it with others so you can directly ask them questions. You'll get the hang of it.

My TrackIR arrived and I've put in some flight time with the choppers (what a difference flying the choppers with TrackIR makes) so hopefully we can avoid another "BoomKow event" in the future.

If you haven't played it already, I highly recommend this mission for puttering around in the choppers to get more familiar with them. It randomly creates pick-up and drop-off LZs all over Altis, so you get a lot of practice landing in all kinds of spaces. Always fun landing a Mohawk in nothing bigger than a soccer field in the middle of a town! If you start it up on your own server, you can select parameters such as the frequency of hot LZs, anti-air threats, etc.

We just use the in game coms for now. They have a mod called ACRE that ties in with teamspeak but we don't have enough people to justify using it.

Scenario ready for tomorrow.

Resistance fighters .... check.

Enemy AAF and CSAT.... check.

Armour... check.

Attack Helicopters... check.

A scenario Im unable to test because its so bloody hard I keep dying... check.

This is going to be a beast. We have space for 10 guys!! Tomorrow at 1300hrs.

Bring it on. 41 degree centigrade day here in Perth, so hopefully tonight it's a little cooler otherwise having headphone on are going to be murder after five minutes. :D

(Can stay around the range of 30 degrees around 9pm here).

I will swap with you Ithikial, its below freezing and snowing over on this side of the world.

I'll host a mission while we wait for Bootie

That was a hard mission today guys... think overall we did well.

I recorded the whole mission but the audio sucks so I will do an AAR over the next few days with screenshots.

Thanks for playing and sorry for those guys who failed to get on board or lost connection.

Good video, it stops just before Ithikial asked me to put a couple rounds into the watch tower above you. Would have liked to have seen your perspective on that.

That really looks like a lot of fun. I am thinking about getting ARMA III and join the campaign. Are you still open for a FNG?
