Battle Brothers -- bloody addictive game

So where are the new vids? Youtube? HOA DA' HAMMER NEEDS TO KNOW!

He needs to smash some ass! Oh wait, that's reserved for the wenches.

I still play this. In fact, Battle Brothers and MTG Arena are the only two games I have been playing for the past several months.

My total play time on Battle Brothers, according to Steam, is now 778 hours. :) All of my FGM company are at least level 24 and a couple are level 27 now.

Today we sacked Rul'Gazhix, a legendary goblin fortress. Sorry, but I didn't record it. Probably would have been too long for a YT video anyway, as it took us a good 45 minutes. It was a tough battle, but fortunately, the Goblins tend to lose morale whenever things aren't going exactly their way, i.e. textbook "buncha pussies".

Here is the afterbattle blurb, which I got a chuckle from.

And here is the reward, which went to @Wellsonian, who still holds my left flank. I'm sure @Rico can immediately see how valuable an item this is.

Plus, it looks cool as hell.

Been a minute since I recorded a BB fight. Here's one from today, another Barbarian King contract, this one for ~9k crowns.

This time I left the hits window open so we can see what is going on with the number crunching. As you may note, hit chances are calculated on scale of 0-100, and you want to roll low.

When did we get the matching uni's?

BB is my 2nd most played game on Steam coming in at 678.5 hours. 1st is still ArmA 3 which is at 844.8 hours but I've not played that for a few years now. I still pick up BB now and again but I tend to start a new company when I lose a couple of my main Bros so I've never got that far into it.

Good to see Josey Wales is still hitting his targets!

Good ol' Josey, always endeavouring to persevere...

Actually, everyone in the company has different armor. What you are probably referring to is the armor attachments, which appear in the game as a shoulder graphic. At this point, I have settled on two different kinds, both crafted.

All melee units have Additional Fur Padding which has the effect of "receive only 66% of any damage that ignores armor".

The three ranged units have Bone Platings which has the effect of completely absorbing all damage from the first blow received in a battle. After it absorbs that blow, it does nothing else for the remainder of that battle.

BTW, in case anyone is wondering why I concentrated on killing the Thralls (weakest enemy unit) first...I usually try to take out the weak units first, on enemies that have morale (not undead), because it causes their global morale to drop, making them "break" sooner. This is actually similar to the Combat Mission system.

There are, of course, exceptions, such as the Nachzehrers (ghouls) who, if you kill the weak ones, the others will feast on the bodies and become stronger.
