Next tour on my bucket list and someday after the CoVid is the Gustav Line.
The Liri Valley to Ortona.
"The primary Gustav Line ran across Italy from just north of where the Garigliano River flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea in the west, through the Apennine Mountains to the mouth of the Sangro River on the Adriatic coast in the east."
Stopping frequently for wine and pasta of course. :cool:

Edit: I should said first the the battle for Ortona was an extremely bloody affair.
