The battle for HELLAS is in full swing, late classical Greeks (me) vs Spartans (@Wellsonian ) ... and yes, that is an insanely long continuous line of melee combat... something's gotta give way eventually.
The Greek Mercenaries' (@Nathangun ) are pushed back by the Thracian army... many bodies were left on the battlefield... as with many tough battles
the bodies were left to feed the crows... while the living bandaged the wounds... and the gods feasted!

I am currently having circles run around me in CILICIA by the master of Macedonian phalanx warfare @Badger73
...and in HELLAS my Greek battle line is being pummelled into oblivion by @Wellsonian ’s Spartans.
So basically, a pretty routine day at the FOG office.

The YELLOW empire's quest to free the people of HELLAS from the yoke of the GREEN empire has hit a little snag ... actually a Major Defeat (23% - 64%) kind of snag.
My Greeks army basically folded up and collapsed spectacularly 3 or 4 turns after general melee was joined ... it was quite something to watch.
