Off to recruit a team mate for my Christian knights.

Also, it wouldn't historically accurate, but how about making one faction Byzantine? Might add some diversity to the gameplay.

There'll be lots of variety as the variety of battles will cover the whole span of the Crusades and all teams will get to play crusaders as well as muslims - rules/concept very similar to Fall of 3rd Reich.
