@chiquichops and are embarking on a small campaign intended to keep a series of FOG Medieval battles ticking over.
Battles are Pot Luck Mirror Battles covering the whole time range covered by FOG Medieval and the DLC's -- we let the game pick the armies, place the battle appropriately in a region (the first army selected determines the setting) and see who controls more of the map at the end.
First battle up is:
NORTH AFRICA: Tuareg (950 - 1500) vs Portuguese (1155 - 1199)
First battle is completed with Tuaregs and their camel cavalry winning both ends. What a nail biter of a finish, couldn't be any closer!! -- @chiquichops wins by 1% !!
(Chiquichops won the first battle 62 - 34 = +28%, I won the second battle 67 - 40 = +27% )
Next up, the random pick sends us to the other extreme of the map for a Scandinavian Derby and far more basic armies: Swedish (1050 - 1154) vs Norwegian (1050 - 1154)

Battle 1: NORTH AFRICA: Tuareg (950 - 1500) vs Portuguese (1155 - 1199) - @chiquichops wins by 1%
Battle 2 concludes with a crushing +51% victory for @chiquichops -- the dice were cruel and his strategy superior... we roll with the punches and march on!
Battle 3 and the TUAREG are back!! -- this time weirdly fighting the Lombards in southern Italy -- Naples & Sicily sector.
BATTLE 4 ends with me managing to win both battles for a final total of +34%.
Very challenging and fun encounter on a tricky hilly/forested map -- lighter Wallachian forces against the generally heavier Germans (and @chiquichops brought a LOT of cannons -- which luckily didn't do too much damage )
So this leaves us overall tied with 2 victories each... and lots more map to cover. Germans return in the next battle:

BATTLE 6 end with the Castillians winning both battles over the Portuguese -- I managed to win the match by +15% -- fun battles both.
This levels up the campaign score at 3 wins each.
BATTLE 7 takes us the the LEVANT with a classic Crusades match up: Fatamid Egyptians (1074-1171) vs Crusader (1096-1099)

BATTLE 7 is a +21% victory for @chiquichops -- the difference mostly being the dismal performance of my crusader knights -- survivors all went before a performance review after the battle!!
@chiquichops takes back the lead in the victory count... up by 4 to 3 wins.
BATTLE 8 takes us to BRITANNY & GASCONY -- Breton (1155-1319) vs Irish (1260-1319) -- quite a challenging match up -- Irish axe-wielding brawlers vs Breton knights and mediocre spearmen...
We whipped through BATTLE 8 ... and the Irish lost both times (quite the melee brawlers)... in the end @chiquichops 's Breton mounted knights went on a late rampage and he wins the match by +10%.
This stretches his lead to 5 wins to 3 ... the map is starting to look far too green for my taste
Change of scenery for BATTLE 9 -- we move to HUNGARY & SERBIA: German (Imperial) (1450-1487) vs Ottoman Turkish (1430-1500) -- this should get interesting.

At first, this next one looked very tough for the Ottomans, terrain-wise. However, looking at the selection of flexible troops available to them, I'm starting to see that they're not going to be easily outclassed here.
I really wish I could redeploy now, I definitely didn't make this easy for myself as the Germans.
Oh well, here goes. At least I have a few days break to whet my appetite. We've been pretty much hammering turns out for days, it's nice to sit back and reflect (on my last victory )

BATTLE 9 ends in a +38% victory for me ... made good use of the available Ottoman field fortifications to squeeze out a narrow +3% victory in a grinding battle that went the full 24 turns.
As the German Imperials I managed to get my heavy mounted men at arms into the right place at the right time and managed a convincing 48 - 13 = +35% victory.
The Ottomans are definitely a challenging army to play with.
This cuts @chiquichops 's lead to 5 victories to 4.
BATTLE 10 is a good old northern British Isles brawl: Irish (1320-1500) vs Scots (1320-1338)
The absolutely brutal Scots-Irish brawl ended in a +31% victory for me -- my more aggressive tactics as the Irish seemed to win over @chiquichops 's more cautious approach.
Those axe-wielding Irish Galloglaich units are certainly very tough and impressive.
This levels the overall campaign score at 5 victories each... all to play for.
BATTLE 11 is a change if scenery -- we head back to the Mediterranean: GREECE: Latin Greece (1320-1432) vs Neapolitan (1400-1442) -- definitely an interesting force mix with this one.

BATTLE 11 ended with surprising results -- at start liked the Latin Greek side was in for a thumping from the Neapolitans, but ended up winning in both close-fought battles, with @chiquichops edging into a win by +5% (partly assisted by a shock retreat fragment by my pike unit that was WITH a leader -- was a total gift for @chiquichops ) and taking back the lead with 6 wins to 5.
