So many epic scenes in the Lord of the Rings.
Apparently the director filmed all 3 movies in one very busy year (1999-2000).
Can you imagine the planning (which started in 1997) and project management involved?
From memory, the director Peter Jackson said he's never want to tackle something of this scale again!

1956 Forbidden Planet. This was a masterpiece in my opinion. It’s actually based on Shakespeare’s “The Tempest†Some folks thought it was extra cheesy but I think it’s still one of the best Sci-Fi movies made. The creature from the ID, and the Krell, fantastic writing. And IMO better than what the writers of today can come up with.
Anything with Bart Maverick can't be all bad.
