H2H / PBEM helper

I don't understand how the H2H works. My version does nothing but sit there. When I activate it, I see that a couple of games are in waiting mode, while the rest show it is my turn, when in fact, I have already sent off those turns? In it's current incarnation it is a lump on my desktop, of no use.
 
Jody --> If you're using dropbox - you should edit your game in H2H.
Example-: you play with Mr. X. You're sharing with Mr.X Dropbox folder: ex. CMBN with X
1. Facman vs Mr. X - left click on this game in H2H menu (game will be greyed)
2. From menu "Game" in H2H - choose "edit game"
3. A window - appears:
Game name: Facman vs Mr. X
Game file folder (single/incoming): You must click on the "browse" button and simply choose your dropbox folder (probably it will be C:\User........\Dropbox\CMBN with X
Second File Game Folder (Outgoing - optional): again - click "browse" and choose the same folder as above.
4. Click OK - and it's done. That's all (for dropbox)
 
Thanks Tomasz, that was where I had gone wrong, didn't know I had to set up for each game. Where do I set up for non-Dropbox games?
 
Hmm - for non - Dropbox games - H2H automatically check Incoming files and Outgoing files folder . But I must say - I send non - Dropbox files manualy via e-mail (H2H just let me know - it's my turn or not). I even don't know if is such an option in H2H.
 
H2HH doesn't support email, as far as I've seen. Frankly, using email to send files this large is just cumbersome and unwieldy. My buddies and I switched to Dropbox and wouldn't even consider going back to using email.
 
After setting up according to directions given in an earlier post, I see no change in H2H performance. It is still telling me it's my turn even after I place the just finished turn in the correct file. Also, I must still handle all files manually. Nothing updates on it's own.
 
Jody--> try to uninstall H2H and install it outside of CMBN folder. Install anywhere on your HD. (I really haven't idea why it don't work ;/)

Ok Im thinking the above is for email files... email is not supported with H2H Helper. It is designed for dropbox.
 
Some people are still having problems, hopefully whats below will help.

To tell the H2Hhelper where your game is just click on the 'Installs' button at the top of the H2Hhelper, then 'Add install' and you will get a box called 'Installations Details Dialog' with 3 fields in it.
The 1st is the game name 'CMBN'.
The 2nd is the install directory with a browse button beside it. Click on the browse button and a window comes up. In that window find where your 'Combat Mission Battle for Normandy' folder is, and highlight it and then click 'OK'. That will have told your H2Hhelper where your CMBN is.
The 3rd is for 'Dropbox location' with a browse button, click on the browse button and locate your Dropbox folder and highlight it and then click 'OK'. Then click 'OK' to get out that 'Installations Details Dialog'.
You might have to also tell it which Dropbox shared folder to look in for each game. To do that highlight the battle e.g. 'JohnsyvsRT' then click on the 'Game' button at the top of the H2Hhelper, then click 'Edit Game' A box will come up called 'Games Details Dialog' with 3 fields in it.
The 1st is the 'Game Name' e.g. 'JohnsyvsRT'
The 2nd is the 'Game File Folder' with a browse button next to it. Click on the browse button and in the window that comes up find the shared dropbox folder that will be used by both people to exchange turns and highlight it e.g. 'Johnsy Vs RT' and click 'OK'.
Don't worry about the 3rd field you shouldn't need it. Click 'OK' to get out of the 'Game Details Dialog' box. All should work fine then.
Make sure you have the 'Tidy' and 'Auto update' ticked in the 'Options'.
 
OMG!!! I just download the turn to the incoming folder, open the game, play the turn, email it from out going folder.

That was 1 line of instruction. What are you guys thinking?

Once you've set this up there is no downloading, no emailing, no nothing. It tells you when there is a turn waiting for you and you just open the game and play the turn. Then you wait for it to beep at you to tell you there is another turn waiting for you. Don't knock what you haven't tried.
 
I cannot open chat window (yesterday all worked just fine). When I double click on game H2HH just crush...Version 1.1.3 (but with 1.0.1 not working as well)
