I got the "spice must flow" only because I'm old enough to have watched Dune in the theater. Not a bad movie but I'm sure the book/s are better.

I liked the original LOTR movie trilogy, didn't follow the books and the elves fought to save Helm's deep (anathema to LOTR geeks) but all in all enjoyable to watch.

The Hobbit on the other hand is a piece of crap!
