I really enjoy playing CM, especially with human opponents, but there is something to be said about playing a good board game sitting across the table from your opponent. Good dice rolls, shitty dice rolls, the occasional throwing the dice across the room, can't be matched by a computer war game. After playing PL and PB, finding Squad leader was great, I believe that CM is the closest thing to SL, any thoughts on that? My son got into playing "Axis and Allies" a few years back. After looking at those games, Hasbro simply dumbed down the Avalon Hill games when they bought the company. Fun to play with a group of guys though.

Today I learned there was a Dune board game!

@Panzer Lehr I love that pic. I had many of those same games. My favorite board game story was the day a friend came over early one Saturday morning (this was in the early 1980s) with his copy of The Longest Day. We set it up and literally played All Day Long, and if I remember correctly, we just played a scenario, not the actual campaign game, which could take weeks. Anyway, after playing *all day* it finally came down to one die roll, with a 50/50 chance of winning or losing. I think he won. Cue Nerd Rage!

You think an open cockpit real flying? What would You think if the the door is not existent in this plane https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonow_An-2#/media/File:Antonov_2.jpg , You stand on this not existent door and wait till the drop master say "Jump!"? :D

Greetings :)

P.S.: Only thing is the plane I jumped off was a czech military one and I wore only a shirt and cargo pants in about 1000 metres hight. Ah yes! And the drop master told us to jump for the red cross what should lay there in the grass. Only - there was no cross to be seen - nowhere. But if You first were floating on the parachute and a few hundred metres lower You started to see that damn thing - it was sooo tiny.

These pictures are from Ceaser's Head State Park in South Carolina, near the North Carolina Border... Elevation is about 3100 feet, These were taking in 2011 when I could still somewhat move...lol, thats is my wife Melissa and I am behind the camera... Beautiful Mountains as @Meat Grinder has said, I guess your about 90-100 miles up the road from there MeatG, then the elevations go up to 4500... yea buddy....

In the first picture there is a big lake right off Melissa's elbow on the railing, Table Rock Reservoir.

Plus this is a cool little link to the area HERE ... (wish we had some of that capabilities with maps for the designers in CM...its always a pain reading the topo map's grids )
