Are you sure, have you adjusted your settings for running the graphics. The game file sizes on this battle are way smaller than the last battle , we are talking 1/3 the size. This is well within the size of many previous battles I have run in these tournaments. My puny laptop is struggling with this map (again) and just clicking on units is a chore.
I think I have to bow out of the tourney. @KGPanther @SlySniper
Got it. The file is for yours to start @Cargol ...Dropbox folder created. @SlySniper , @A Canadian Cat
Planning the set up, bear with me. Once done, we will progress nicely and smoothly.Got it. The file is for yours to start @Cargol ...
Lets try, before we give up too soon on you. I really hope we can get this running on your rig.OK I'll try to re-jig stuff.
Hey what about me lol. I am ready when we get it up- worse case, who can replace?Lets try, before we give up too soon on you. I really hope we can get this running on your rig.
well, lets see. at the moment I know of no other issues. but if someone else drops, its easy to rematch those that are still in.Hey what about me lol. I am ready when we get it up- worse case, who can replace?
The only problem I have with this scenario is that when I start looking around, sometimes the camera keeps spinning even though I have stopped moving the mouse, the only way to stop it is by clicking the right button, but it is a behavior I have seen in other CM, so I guess it is an engine issue
Sounds good - no worries take the time that's needed. Just wanted to be sure we knew who was up - I've waited before because I though it was my opponent's turn and he thought it was mine.Planning the set up, bear with me. Once done, we will progress nicely and smoothly.
One possibility is the mouse at edge camera controls. By default the mouse can control the camera by just being near the edge of the screen. Near the lower right - slide right; near the upper right spin right; etc. For those of us that don't like to use that and often just kinda push the house out of the way it is super annoying. I whined enough, and had allies, that a new command was added <ctrl>E that toggles on / off camera edge controls. That is a engine issue and then has to do with how you use you viewing tools.
I have seen what you are talking about, but I trained myself to stop doing whatever triggered that. been so long ago,
I dont even remember how it happens
how is it going, any success.OK I'll try to re-jig stuff.

If not, let me know, because it appears I have a match up for your opponant if you need to drop out.
this is something i ran into a lot last roundThe only problem I have with this scenario is that when I start looking around, sometimes the camera keeps spinning even though I have stopped moving the mouse, the only way to stop it is by clicking the right button, but it is a behavior I have seen in other CM, so I guess it is an engine issue
last round during deployment i ran into this .. i would save progress when i had to... next time i restarted game it would be better most of the time if not completely good...I've tried everything, even a reinstall. The game lags when I'm trying to move units around the set-up, takes a minute or two for the game to catch up
next time this issue crops up i will try this.... i stopped playing the US campaign in CMCW because of how terrible my camera would float in the mission with the huge ash heap... terrible lag in unit selection and movement to..One possibility is the mouse at edge camera controls. I'll give it another go.
