Both sides used the FN FAL. The Argentines had more folding stocks and a full auto setting, I remember reading.

They did. Although good luck hitting anything other than the sky with a FAL on full auto.

First Lt. Jose Daniel Vazquez, A4-C Skyhawk pilot during the war. He died May 30, 1982 during the attack on the aircraft carrier HMS Invincible. Vazquez was shot down by a Sea Wolf missile while firing its 20 mm cannons at the aircraft carriers.

It's hard to believe that it was over 40 years ago.

At the end of the war, a British paratrooper and Argentine soldiers smile at the camera. The nightmare is over. The photo shows that human beings kill each other because they are told to, not because they want to...
