Ahh, in Aus you can postal vote too but only under certain circumstances- illness, being overseas, living in a remote area, that kind of thing. It's not hugely restrictive, but it's not really a 'general alternative' to attending a polling place.
EDIT:: You also miss out on the sausage. Which @Meat Grinder is decidedly NOT a hotdog! More like a Bratwurst, sort of...

Not yet. The Primaries end with the party conventions.

Philadelphia will host the Democratic National Convention in July 2016.
Steamed or boiled is ok, but the best way to cook 'em is on a grill (charcoal or propane). I like mine almost black.

I think the fact that this thread has shifted to discussing the difference between a sausage sizzle, bratwurst and the hot dog is a nice metaphor to the quality of the political debate in America at the moment.
