This song is about a battle that happened about 205 CE in the part of Denmark where I grew up. An invading army, possibly of Norwegians, came back from serving in the Roman army, and they apparently got the idea that they wanted to rule in Denmark. Their fancy Roman swords and other gear were found smashed up on the bottom of a bog.
