I did not know that Shocking Blue was from the Netherlands -
"Shocking Blue was founded in 1967 by Robbie van Leeuwen. The group had a minor hit in 1968 with "Lucy Brown is Back in Town". After Mariska Veres took over the vocals, the group charted a world-wide hit with the song "Venus", which peaked at No. 3 in the Netherlands in 1969. The song reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in February 1970. It subsequently sold 350,000 copies in Germany, and topped the U.S. chart for three weeks, the first song from the Netherlands to do so. It sold over one million copies there by January 1970, and received a gold record awarded by the Recording Industry Association of America. Global sales exceeded five million copies. A nice interview with Knopfler, gives some insight as to what inspires his songs. Stuff like "Boom like that" I knew had to be from him reading and this confirms that.
If I like an intro I usually like the tune.... Money for Nothing... great intro.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger? Perhaps. In my CMx2 case it usually just leaves me immobilized.

In light of Chris Cornells suicide hanging! RIP Interesting his last encore song he did at the show in Detroit was Led Zeppelins "In my time of Dying". The first song for me that comes to mind isn't their big hits like Rusty Cage or Outshined. It's a quick and dirty song called Drawing Flies! Long live their Bad Motor Finger album, what a classic.

This also appeals to me...took a couple of listens but then decided it was rather good.
Of course, the original is an absolute classic and amazing to find that Joni wrote it at just 24 years of age.
