Maybe I went over the line...I am sure Bootie will take it in the vein it was intended...if not I am sorry, if that line is crossed.

OK, here´s my wild stab: It looks italian to me, maybe the Po Valley, and assuming it´s not WWII related (which it probably is), I´ll guess at Vercellae, where the famous battle between the romans and the cimbri took place in 101 b.c.
Right?
