Resolve matters a lot in Battle Brothers.
The higher your Resolve the less likely you are to fall to a lower morale state. We all know about the effects of low morale from Squad Leader, Combat Mission, and, well, Real Life.
High Resolve also tends to make one much more resistant to a Hexe's "Charm" spell and the "Wail" of a Banshee. I used to dread any battle that involved Banshees, but now our company has a high enough Resolve that Banshees are much less of a consideration.

That makes Meat Grinder the Merciless the only Brother in the company that does not wield a special, named weapon. You see, I don't play favorites. ;-)
Actually, I have yet to find a named two handed sword that I feel is an upgrade to the plain vanilla Greatsword.

Interesting that it increases your resolve. So I guess that means that Terry is less likely to crap his britches if we run into snakes again.Permanent +5 to Resolve, meaning you are less of a pussy than you were before.

Pointy Stinger causes bleeding wounds, but Sir Otto's Spine is just better overall, IMO.

OMG! Who/how/what destroyed all my body armor with one shot!?
After the first two turns I was thinking "please be over soon, please be over soon".
Is the weapon I have now really that much better so as to give up the benefit of the two-hex
range of my other weapon?
