BF's announcement of 'Bulge' title, is it just me...

I was able to hack this screenshot from the beta tester CM Bulge splashscreen photo shoot....!

..and it's the Bloody Bucket patch of the US 28th Infantry Division.
Bloody Bucket? Maybe it was her time of the month?

As arous... errr... AMUSING it might be to see pictures of beautiful women with weighty... ARGUMENTS, I think we got caried away a little bit.

@Kohlenklau: See, that's one of those things I can't comment on. The game is in testing phase - make of that what you like. Can't be more precise, sorry.

I personally could live with the idea of playing CMBN - CMFI-CMRT for many years still, and if BFC say Bulge is gonna be a stand alone game, then we have to get used to the idea.
I never built a CM game, and if I was given the job to build a new one, I'd want to work with the lastest game engine.
It is a pity that it won't be CMBN module, but lets wait and see what it is like when its released and then decide if it's worth spending our money.
I might not room on my hard drive by then. :D:D

Hey Nathan,
If the new game is any good and enough folks choose to purchase it, we can possibly do some of our Bulge Campaign CM battles on the CM Bulge versus CMFI GL? Your call as the big cheese Campaignenfuhrer. :D

I think it would be a great way to comparatively examine the new game versus how we have seen CMFI GL portray the Bulge fighting. It would not have the commonwealth forces yet initially but we joked that we'll be at this FGM Bulge campaign for a good 3 or 4 years so I dang hope we get a Bulge module with the British within 3 or 4 years! :D

I will remind you later this year or whenever we see the new game actually hit the streets.

Well, I can 100% confirm that we'll see a release this year... or the next. Depending on how the game comes out. ;)

Honestly, I don't know why it#s taking so long. We (the beta testers) have been told there have been some unforeseen complications and that it'd take longer than anticipated.

I sure hope there are a wealth of stock scenarios. That is the most important part, right?

Hey Dane, the BFC post said this:
Content:

1 Training campaign.

1 American campaign - the current plan is something revolving around Bastogne.

1 German campaign covering KG Peiper.

20(ish) standalone scenarios and a big set of QB maps, as usual.

There are also a number of master maps being made of some famous areas in the Bulge.

Found the thread, thanks Phil.

I think the content included will be worth it.

Does that mean it is in beta or that it hasn't made beta?

Dane,

I already asked him but he replied that he is legally unable to full explain what exact phase they are in...just that it is in testing.

<<Dane, by the way, our San Leonardo, Italy map is soon to be put to use in a multiplayer slugfest battle, 3km x 3km, 2 axis vs 2 Canadians....>>

Hopefully things get back in order.

Phil, I'll check it out. Is the game a 20,000 monster or something?
