My uncle Roby was in the WW2 Airborne Glider Infantry.

He and my dad, retired U.S. Air Force, never talked much about it.

Dad mostly liked to teach me the value of hard work, via actually making me perform it.

Yet it seems like the older generation was better at coping with it than nowadays.
Or maybe I´m just imagining it. I would guess that strong family ties pays a huge part.

Barely recognized Mickey Rourke! Hell he looks like he's been through some shit! Thanks for posting, never seen it before. Yeah always thought Thin Red Line was overshadowed by SPR. Especially since it's a much slower paced artsy movie. Very under rated!
