Dogs. That paw print represents everyone in the house.Nice Luis!
My wife especially likes the paw prints on your wife's shoulder.
Cat or Dog? Both?
Congrats mate and thanks for stopping by!G'day all, it's been a while. I heard through the grapevine that the forums went kaboom so thanks to @Bootie for persevering in getting it all back up and running.
Also figured I'd better log in occasionally so I don't get deleted!
2024 was a pretty busy year, still fuel hauling and working about a squillion hours a week. Not much time for CM or other games, but nice for the mortgage and definitely keeping the tax man happy.
One of the newest rigs, still shiny now but the harsh roads and conditions will take their toll soon enough. All the new trucks have Starlink mounted on them meaning even way outback I still have perfect high speed broadband for streaming music and podcasts, really 'doing it tough!'
I don't actually have any CM games installed at the moment as my main hard drive bricked itself mid last year, and since I don't have the time or, to be honest, the inclination to play CM just at the moment they'll remain uninstalled for the forseeable future. In the very small amount of free time I have free, the two 'WoWs' are filling the gaps, World of Warcraft, and World of Warships, given that I can play for 20 minutes and leave pretty much immediately if duty calls. I don't want to have the obligation of trying to keep up with turns when there are plenty of more important things to occupy my time, speaking of which:
New wife, new life!
The better half brought a little one into the world on 22/11/2024, well I say little - he was 3.8kgs! (8.3 lbs in freedom units).
We are blessed that we are living in the age of modern medicine, where if babies are too big to be born naturally, the mother won't die in childbirth as would have happened a few hundred years ago. In this case the baby was big, and mum is... not, so C-section it was and all went well.
He's growing incredibly quickly, not even two months old and he's passing babies in the three and four month weight bracket!
This is why dad has to work so hard, that boy is eating me out of house and home, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Thank You Mate ....Thanks @chiquichops , you're spot on there. A lot of things that seemed important in life take a backseat when you become a father.
Cheers @Bootie
Thanks very much @Hedgehog and may I say I was very sorry to read of your wifes passing, I imagine that when you spend the bulk of your life with someone you love deeply that it's particularly painful to be the one left behind. My condolences mate.
Thank you @HOA_KSOP , yes life has definitely taken a turn for the better.@Stafford, I was just wondering what happened to you after watching the latest Mad Max movie. Congrats on the new wife and new son. Exciting times down under, eh? Anyway, my burning question is how long does it take to stop that land train you are pulling? Cheers Stafford, good to hear from you, and thanks for the update.
