No turn 002 is the file I placed and it is for the German player, when he is completed, your file will be 003 or maybe something even higher if he saved and did the set up in stages.
Your password is the same it has been from previous tournaments. I will send it to youi again just in case
So far the biggest I have seen is in the 80's MG , so I doubt they will get much bigger. It likely will stay there or decrease as the game progresses.
I now have a third player that is having issues.
I do not recall what the tricks are as to what setting's need adjusted.
But It sure cannot be maxing out the machines.
I run these games on the oldest computer in my house. 11 years old.
12 gb duel channel ram, a 1GB graphics card with a good processer for its day. but nothing like what most would be running now.
I run this battle, smooth as silk. The only thing I notice is load times can be a little long depending on how it was saved.
For those struggling with this map, I'd check the page file size for your system. Bit of a long shot I know. It should be at least 8gb. Since CM2 is a 32 bit program it cant read system memory beyond 4GB.
Well good news is, the more vehicles destroyed, the smaller the file becomes.....LOL
out of the 12 battles, only 5 are rollin and verified that those 10 players can handle the game file size

well, after all sorts of issues. I can finially anounce we have all matches running and everything is now in motion as to round 1
We have 10 matches and 20 players.
we might pick up a few players when we get to round 2 that had issues with this battle.
A couple never did get it to run. Some decided it was too much for the time they have.
My bad, I did break my own goal as to keeping these managable and short in time frame so as to make these Tournaments flow at a good pace.
Other than for set up, I find scenarios this size is nothing more than like playing two small scenarios at the same time, For those that are playing, I hope you are enjoying the challenge or benefit that a wide front battle can give you as you play this battle.
With the holidays and such, I figure we likely will lose other players for periods of time, But I will for now set a "Must Finish date" for the 8th of Feb.
But this is not set in stone. We will see how the group as a whole does as to keeping with a good turn rate.
In the past I have set the finish date and penalty date with how the group is going. Catching a majority with a date they can do and only needing to give penalties to players that really are not holding to the turn rate standards at all.

It's all good in my opinion.
Setting up takes some time and involves some "work", but actually playing it goes quite smooth. It's almost like a couple of micro-battles going on at the same time on this big map.

Ah no worries. Variety is nice. I am having a blast. We'll see how long that lasts.

Guys do yall have any ideal why I am starting to get this error message
our game had been running fairly smooth except a few quirks my machine has with all huge force, huge complicated terrain no matter the title.....
I have ran into the problem before in other titles, some of them started working more or less fine after day or 2 , and i think i restarted my laptop but i have had some games i could not go any further in....

Do you have other applications running in parallel with CM? If so, close them and that will solve the issue. You can check which applications are running (some of them might be running on the background) by opening and checking the task manager. Task manager will also indicate which of the running apps are using a large part of your system's memory .
i double checked task manager to be sure and did not have anything running in background.... the actual size of the game file is the smallest one out of 20or so we have had so far....
i have had this computer a couple years and have seen this before... i can remember 2 CMBS games that it this popped up mid-game both of those resolved themselves... once in a CMCW game that also fixed itself but i have also had a couple games i could not finish because of it.. one was a RT scenario that was not really all that big relatively speaking.... i also had a CMBS game that i could not finish because of it.....
in some games with really huge forces sizes... huge complicated maps... my computer would really struggle with during a few turns but run all the rest perfectly fine....... i am fairly limited when it comes to computer skills but can usually follow along if somebody can tell me what to check... and there is always a chance that whatever issue i am having fixes itself like it has before... so later today i will cross my fingers and try loading it again
When was the last time you ran and cleaned all your temp memory from the system.
Just a guess, But when things work fine, then start having issues. Sounds like a temp memory not getting cleared and then maxing out.
I have had that happen on a few programs that use large amount of temp data, then the program would get unstaple. Cleaning the temp files and re-booting normally solved the issue for awhile.

i rebooted my computer last night....
i am not sure what you mean by temp data.... last night i cleared out my saved games and incoming email folders.. and made sure all my graphics are on lowest level and it still did not load
