IL STURMOVIK 1946

Just ordered this game for € 7,94 incl. P&P.

Now to discover if I can find the patience learning to fly.....
 
Piece o' cake, I've only had the game a couple of days and am already known by the enemy as "The Angel of Death"!
Here my Spitfire V chases down a doomed Macchi; an earlier burst stopped its engine and now I close in pointblank to finish it off as the Italian pilot yells over the radio to warn his mates- "Aiieee, it is l'Angelo della Morte!"

Wait until your first carrier landing...lol Of course if you play like an arcade game with all options off (complex engine management, wind, stalls, limited fuel and ammo, cockpit always on, headshake, no external view etc...) even my little grand daughter can fly...
 
Tirpitz putting up flak against my IL-2T torpedo bomber, I dropped the torp but I must have been too high/ too fast because the bleddy thing broke when it hit the water (sniffle)..

Confirmed... trying to drop a torpedo from 80m altitude is no chance... I don't torpedo myself, but I would say speed under 200 kmh with flaps down 1 or 2 steps, max height 10/15m ? If there are specialists around...
 
Just back from a one hour mission over Kursk in my FW 190 A4. Escort of 12Stukas attacking a russian airfield. We were 8 under my command escorting them plus 8 other FW 190 flying fighter sweep a little before. Man that was combat heavy. We lost 4 FW and 5 Stukas, bombing was on target and we shot down 22 russian planes ( I think I had never seen so many before...) including Hurricanes, Yaks and Laggs 3. Some were shot on the track while taking off. I myself scored 1 victory but due to serious damage on wings had to make a crash landing near a friendly airstrip...
Going to paint that victory on my tail right away...

@POS (aka l'Angelo de la morte) If you have been able to take off properly with that Spitfire of yours after only 2 days, you are a born pilot... Took me many tries to take off with that plane without ending off track. (But may be you appeared miraculously in the sky, or the "no engine torque" cheat was on ? lol...
 
Can someone point me where can i find patches?
All i can find is 4.08...
 
Cool, i think that;'s it.
I managed to find 4.09, but nothing after that :)
It's little bit stupid that Ubisoft offers only 4.08m....
Are 4.09 and later unofficial patches?
 
Too big :) ALmost 1Gb for all three i needed :)
I've found everything.
4.10 is downloading right now :)
 
Incidentally when you've d/loaded them to desktop click on each icon in sequence to auto-install them into the main prog.

POS, I remember you posting not long ago that it was more interesting just flying around in non combat sims... Are you changing your mind ? I see your IL2 planes are shooting stuff...

Nah, I said non-combat flight sims like FSX are great fun for just flying around and looking at the wonderful scenery, and combat sims are great fun for shooting..:)

IL-1946 F6F Hellcat carrier landing on Lexington.
This is my first ever carrier landing attempt in the game; nicely lined up, throttled back, wheels and flaps down, what can possibly go wrong?..

Yup, without a hook I have to stand on the brakes to kill the speed and the kite noses over..
